Post by loppylou on Fri Nov 07, 2008 2:04 pm

Im thinking of introducing rabbit into vegas and titch's diet a local farm has offered them to me free, there caught in traps. Im not sure how to prepair them, fur on? off?, raw? cooked? i really dont know where to start with this one so any advice will be greatly appreciated.

well i think you should skin them as for cooking im not sure of the bones, cooked might be better because of the deases they carry. but the bones could be verry brittle.

I spoke to the breeder of suki and she gives her dogs rabbit raw with the skin and fur on so thats what i have done with vegas and titch, titch dove straight in but vegas took a while to get used to the idea!
